Junk2Jewellery 12/10/11

Old Brooch, Used Ribbon & Used Makup Wipe

Reminds me of something people wore around the collar/neck in the past- when??

Melted Plastic Circles

I love the variety of shapes created.

Half Assembled. Sewn on a thin cotton thread.

I like how you can't see the thread and how each circle creates its own shape but contributes to the overall shape of the thread.

Small Wooden Cubes formed into interlinking triangles.

I plan for this to become a neck piece. My cubes were limited to only 305 so I'm going to have to find an alternative chain but I want to keep it minimal and not take away from the formation/shape of the blocks.

A closer look at the formation of the necklace.

Face wipes, cut into strips and plaited to create threads with a variety of colours coming through.

Original Junk: Green Rubber Tube

Cut into thin slices.

Arranged into a formation that goes back and links to its original state... circular.

I plan on continuing this pattern into a neckpiece that extends up and around the back of the neck and collarbone. I think I will just glue gun the pieces together.
