Been busy in the workshops this week, getting introduced to our work spaces and tool boxes, and figuring out how to use a jewellery hack saw cutting out shapes from guilded metal, aluminium and brass. Managed to cut myself... 3 times! Here's some photos of what weve been getting up to:
Cutting equal 2.5cm diameter circles from guilded metal, firing them until cherry red and hammering into dome shapes. These domes are what we are going to use to make a pair of earrings - polishing them, making the findings and colouring them.
