this is so lovely!!

Pair of bowls with caledon glaze, created specifically to 'nestle' together, 2010 by Kawase Shinobu.

Pattern-books for women. Samuri women followed the fashions of the times, commissioning their robes to be made according to the latest pattern books.

Reminds me of the current 'Charmed Life' Exhibition at the Wellcome Collection. Copper Bells - Isla De Sacrificios, 'ensouled' by the face that appears on the front. Rattles, shell trumpets, drums and bells were all invested with living qualities in this manner. The bells hung from costumes would sound in keeping with the movement and rythm of the choreographed dances.

Recycled metal foil bottle-neck wrappers, copper wise.

finished ring, without the stone

This piece has not been finished and polished to a complete, high standard but considering the amount of time we had and the fact it's my first try, I dont think it's turned out too badly. Ideally, it would be polished using finishing papers and have a stone set, but this should be done at a later stage I hope! Would be nice to see it all finished and looking like a proper ring.

Pieces that took my interest in the Electrum Gallery. Bottom two images are from the Target The Heart exhibition; an exhibition in collaboration with the British Heart Foundation for their Mending Broken Hearts Appeal, in which the makers showed one-off pieces inspired by the theme of the heart.  A percentage of the profits will go towards the appeal which is awesome!

Loving the jewellery, especially the post-modern style pieces but was really looking at the techniques and style of some of the other work at Flow Gallery. Really into ceramics and the effects you can get from different techniques and processes. Think a lot of them can be transfered and developed into jewellery some how... defninitely something I'd like to explore in future!!
