I love the detail in this image and the subtle purple and yellow tones coming through in the background. The shadows really enhance the shape and texture of this structure. This is the image I have chosen to present for my assessment.

I really like the mix of colours in this photograph. They are subtle and gentle against the harsh shape created by the cocktail stick structure.

Final Piece - Junk 2 Jewellery - Rubber Tubing Necklace

Final Piece - Really please with how this has turned out. It takes a closer, second look to figure out what this piece is made from and I think the aesthetics work really well.

Highlighters were used here again to add some colour and I also find it links well to the other stirrer bracelet development and shows how two completely different designs can be produced from the same materials.

Progess so far, all cut and soldered by hand from guilding metal and nickle. Pin to be added tomorrow and needs repolishing to remove all scratches.

Final Burnt Plastic Collar

Blue was added in to add some colour and bring the glint of the plastic out further

I am very happy with his end result. The texture, colour and overall feel of the piece works well in attracting the eye and allows the views to question the material. This particular piece started life as a plastic casing for a bed sheet and has been cut and been put through the burning process to change its form and shape. Colour has then been added to completely alter its original state. I particularly like how the light glints off it and catches the blue highlights.

A gold plated jump ring and clasp have been added to connect both ends and allow the piece to be worn without stretching over the head. This piece wears like a collar. Photos will be added later on!

Coloured using highlighter pens to give a bright neon finish

Both work well as a collection, with the potential to branch out with other bracelets demonstrating different variations of the pattern/colour scheme.

A crochet parcel string bracelet is added to the mix...

... and works well with the wood in creating a rustic theme. If I was to take this further, I would look at colouring sections of the crochet to link the pieces even more.

Further Developments to the Facewipe Experiments

Ring/Finger Snug made of plaited and woven facewipes

A nice array of colours can be seen from this piece which further adds to the illusion of it being made from regular fabric such as a collection of felts or soft cottons.

The ring is soft to wear and is quite thick so acts as more of a 'finger snug' than a ring
